Eleanor Kozette Oates, 74, passed away December 9, 2009, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born February 1, 1935 in Joaquin to Frank Reynolds and Betty Cox Reynolds. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the James Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center with Mickey Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Shelby County.

Pallbearers will be Josh Cherry, Michael Lovejoy, Tim Newcomb, Herman Snider, Chris Snider and James Foshee. Honorary pallbearers will be Huey Green and Dale Jones.
