Elden Earl Appelt, 62, of Center formerly of Victoria, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 in Kermit, Texas. He was born March 10, 1946 in Tiboli, Texas to Fred John Appelt and Elsie Eunice Woytek. Mr. Appelt was a rig supervisor with Chesapeake Energy. He was a member of Farm Bureau Cattlemen's Association.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 25 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 26 at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center with Rev. Jean Ferraro officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Shelby County.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Cotton, Gunner Gruner, Mark Huckaby, Brock King, Darvin Knapp, Jackson O. Miller IV, Buck Pakebusch and Ronald B. Samford. Honorary pallbearers will be Erwin Kiesewetter, Arvin Pakebusch, Dewayne Warner, Mark Kennedy, Roger Appelt, Michael Kiesewetter and John Appelt.
