Ela Elaine Watson , 92, of Center, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020, in Groves.

Graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

Mrs. Watson was born October 6, 1927, in Shelby County to James Jewel Goings and Jettie Elsada Baker Goings. She was an avid quilter. She attended Assembly of God.

She is survived by her son, Larry Watson of Center; daughters, Diane Fountain and husband James of Groves and Geenie Barbee and husband John of Center; grandchildren, Rocky Fountain, Cindy Fontenot and husband Jamie, Holli Barbee, Jason Fountain and wife Cathy, Tisha Watson, and Brian Fountain; great grandchildren, Olivia Lacroix Kirby and husband Alan, Timothy Simoneaux and wife Aubrey, Fred Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, Tory Davis, and Colton Davis; great great grandchildren, A.J. Lacroix and Atticus Kirby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Conner Watson; parents, James Jewel Goings and Jettie Elsada Baker Goings; great granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Fountain; brothers, E.E. "Shorty" Goings, James Goings, and Maxie Goings.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Watson's grandsons and nephews.
