Obituary

Effie Bernice Warr Adams, 81, of Center, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at her home. She was born July 16, 1929 to Edgar Hooker Warr and Nell Mae Bridwell Warr. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt who loved being surrounded by her family. She was a devout Christian who taught Sunday school for over fifty years at White Rock Missionary Baptist and Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church. One of her favorite pastimes was writing poetry and stories about her family and memorizing scripture. Her notations in her Bible are a collection of beautiful memories that will be treasured.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, October 8, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. James Johnson, Rev. Bobby Warr and Rev. E.B. Elumbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Shelby County.
