Edna "Bobbie" Gay Braden , 88, of Center, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020, in Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Rev. Karen Jones officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Braden was born one of twelve children on October 24, 1931, in Haines City, Florida, to David Gay and Stella Ettiker Gay.  She graduated from Martha Berry Academy in Rome, Georgia, in 1952.  She retired in 1983 after a successful career with Gulf Oil. That same year, she married her husband, James W. Braden. Mrs. Braden was a member of First United Methodist Church in Center.

Edna, better known by her nickname, Bobbie, is survived by her husband, Jim "J.W." Braden of Center; two sisters and two brothers; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Gale Adams, Riley Adams, Ken Mahan, Blake Adams, Gerardo Guerro, and Bill Holt.  Honorary pallbearer will be Paul Ross.
