Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Kaufman.
She was born January 8, 1920 in Shelby County to Walter W. Hickman and
Ruth Permenter Hickman.
She was a member
of Delta Kappa Gamma, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 903 in Joaquin, Retired
Teachers Association, XYZ and First Baptist Church in Joaquin.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Elmer Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Old Home Cemetery in Center.
Pallbearers will be Phil Worsham, Dennis Leggett, Rodney Dean, Nolan Sholar, Steve Cockrell and Mike Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be R. D. Green, Jimmy Coulter and William Foster.
