Obituary

Edgar Earl "Ed" Green, 74, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Center. He was born November 21, 1937 in Shelby County to Bro. Elmo Green and Lera McMahon Green. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Sam Houston Masonic Lodge #32 in Shelbyville. Mr. Green was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Ed McRae officiating. Interment will follow at Carrolltown Cemetery in Shelbyville. Pallbearers will be Vernon Renfro, Jim White, Ray Stroope, Steve Smith, Keith Wingo and Joel Graves. Honorary pallbearers will be James Powell and Jackie Cannon. He is survived by Wife: Shirley Green of Shelbyville Son: Mark Green of Shelbyville Daughters: Mindy Smotherman and husband, Randy of Huxley Lacy Carter and husband, Jim of Keller Five Grandchildren Preceded in death by Parents: Bro. Elmo Green and Lera McMahon Green In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fannie Brown Booth Library, 619 Tenaha Street, Center, Texas 75935.
