Earline "Purd" Mancil , 91, of Bronson, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in San Augustine.

Funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Shelby County.

Born March 11, 1933, in Angelina County, Earline is the daughter of Noel Mancil and Josie Renfro Mancil.  She enjoyed quilting, knitting, yard crafting, and breeding and selling dogs.  She was a big talker with an even bigger heart, willing to help others in any way she could.

She is survived by her nephews, James Williams Mancil and wife Charlotte of San Augustine, Billy Merle Mancil of Bronson, and John Mancil and wife Carolyn of Jasper; and nieces, Dolly Sue Brown and husband Jack of Wallis and Helen Mullins and husband Mike of Grandfalls; and numerous other relatives.

Preceded in death by parents, Noel Mancil and Josie Renfro Mancil; sisters, Merlene Mancil and Nancy Jane Bailey; brothers, William Merle Mancil and Noel Rogers Mancil; and nephews, Jimmy Dale Bailey and Jeffery David Hayden.
