Doyce Hinton, 92, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Gilmer.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. following visitation. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery in Joaquin. Bro. Gordon Vaughn will be officiating.

Born June 17, 1934, in Joaquin, Doyce is the son of George Arthur Hinton and Orene English Hinton. In his free time, Doyce enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church in Logansport.

He is survived by his children, Bruce Hinton and wife Mary, Lisa Hinton Woodfin and husband Guy, and Scott Hinton and wife Jamie; grandchildren, Aaron Haessly, Abby Hinton Morin and husband Jackson, Anthony Haessly, Jessica Hosick and husband Taylor, Randy Freeman, Colten Woodfin and wife Alysha, and Cara Hinton; great grandchildren, Selena Freeman, Savannah Hosick, Bryce Hosick, and Tate Woodfin.

Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Hinton; parents, George Arthur Hinton and Orene English Hinton; and brother, David H. Hinton.
