Douglas Lamar Dolan , 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, in Tyler.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

Born October 26, 1939, in Houston, Douglas is the son of Mable Miles and Oscar Dolan.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a water plant operator.  Hunting, fishing, cooking out, and spending time with grandkids were among his hobbies.  Mr. Dolan was also a master mason.

He is survived by his sons, Andrew Dolan and wife Lindy of Whitehouse and Brandon Dolan and wife Jamie Lynn of Shelbyville; daughter, Christy Tolbert of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Seth Dolan, Kinsey Dolan, Rhett Dolan, Kailey Dolan Redd, Allison Dolan, and Cole Dolan; great grandchild, Jaxtyn Redd; sister, Margaret Anderson of Dallas; and nephew, Charles Anderson of Arlington.

Preceded in death by parents, Mable Miles and Oscar Dolan.

Pallbearers will be Cole Dolan, Rhett Dolan, Seth Dolan, Jason Harvey, and Jay Jones.
