Douglas Coody , 79, of Joaquin, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Joaquin.

Born October 1, 1942, in Saline, Louisiana, Douglas is the son of the late Jimmie Huntly and James Coody.  He served in the United States Army.

Survivors include wife, Rhonda Coody; sons, Joseph Dollar of Joaquin, Texas, Sylvian Coody of Saline, Louisiana, and James Parry of Stonewall, Louisiana; brother, Billy Coody of Henderson, Nevada; sister, Ruth Purdue of Logansport, Louisiana; also numerous grandkids and great grandkids.

Preceded in death by his children, Dejuana Coody and Lane Coody; parents, Jimmie Huntly and James Coody; and brothers, Ben Coody and Maxie Coody.
