Dorothy Mydee Thomason departed this world to her eternal reward in heaven at Parkwood in the Pines on December 23, 2022.  She was born in Colin County, Texas, on October 9, 1919.

She is survived by her son, Windell Thomason; grandchildren, Angela Cowart, Diane Rosse, Debbie Thomason, Eddy Thomason, Wade Thomason, and Wes Thomason; and a host of great and great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were parents, Virgil and Cora Anglin; brothers, Ollis and Otis Anglin; her loving husband of 68 years, Edwin Thomason; and son, Milton Thomason.

Her whole life was centered around God and family. She never worked outside the home by choice.  Ed was always the best dressed Greyhound Bus Driver with those starched uniform shirts.  Milton and Windell and all her grandchildren were always well cared for in so many ways.

Dorothy was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a member of Central Church of Christ in Lufkin, Texas.

A life well lived for 103 years.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation an hour prior.  James Slack and Johnny Havard both of Lufkin will officiate.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers will be Eddy Thomason, Wade Thomason, Wes Thomason, and Ty Thomason.
