Dorothy Lee Samford, age 89, of Center, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 in a local nursing center. She was born May 17, 1920 in Shelby County to N. W. Lee and Kate Strickland Samford. Ms. Samford was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Center and a member of Lucretia Bussey's Sunday School class.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, October, 17, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Greg Megill officiating.

She is survived by:
