Dorothy Jean Lawson , 80, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her residence.  She was born February 2, 1934 in Shelby County to Raymond Smith and Bertha Swan Smith.  MeMee enjoyed cooking and fishing, but above all, she loved watching her grandchildren participate in their activities.  She was a member of Lone Cedar Missionary Baptist Church in Joaquin.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Hiram Melton and Bro. Chris Welch officiating.  Interment will follow at Lone Cedar Cemetery in Joaquin.

Pallbearers will be Wade Lawson, Matt Lawson, Lance Lawson, Brock Lawson, Blake Gamble and Bill Mason.
