Dorothy A. Johnson, 72, of Joaquin, Texas passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born October 23, 1936 in Cloutierville, Louisiana to Joe Basco and Phyllis Cannon Basco. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Ms. Johnson was a member of Toledo Bend Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children; Anya Johnson of Joaquin, Texas, Kenneth Johnson andwife Audrey of Bloomfield, New Mexico, Denise Johnson of Joaquin, Texas, Phyllis Curry and husband Branden of Joaquin, Texas, Mona Cox and husband Bruce of Keithville, Louisiana, Amanda Johnson of Logansport, Louisiana, David Johnson of Dallas, Texas and Betty West of Sylacauga, Alabama: fourteen grandchildren: thirteen great grandchildren: brothers and sisters; Jean Rachal and husband Clyde of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Faye Ostrander and husband Clarence of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jerry Basco and wife Brenda of Farmington, New Mexico, Sandra Williams of Grand Cane, Louisiana, Michael Basco of Farmington, New Mexico, Kenneth Lavesphere of Baton Rouge, Louisiana: brother-in-law; Harold Lewis of Arcadia, Louisiana:Sister-in-law; velma McGrew of Quitman, Mississippi: loving aunts; Madonna Rachal and Margie Fitzgerald: numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Johnson: parents, Joe Basco and Phyllis Basco: grandson, Jerry White:loving "Mom" and Aunt, Dell Cannon.
