Doris Porter , 89, of Center, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. M.D. Lamon and Sister Melba Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Shelby County.

Mrs. Porter was born March 7, 1929, in Shelby County, to Ross Elliott and Azlee Furlow Elliott. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Porter; sons, Michael Porter and wife Sharon Porter, Mark Porter-Rodriguez and husband Pedro Porter Rodriguez; grandchildren, Stacia Barbe, James Gregory Barbe and wife Cristina, Monica Zimmerman and husband Scott, Justin Porter and wife Carissa, Matt Porter and wife Cassie, Jon Porter, Samuel Porter; great grandchildren, T.J. Magness, Henry Barbe, Blake Barbe, Kalyn Gilchrist, Jacob Zimmerman, Hadley Porter, Harper Porter, Hollynn Porter, Emmett Elton Porter, Zoie Porter, Gage Porter; brother, Mac Elliott.

Preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Arlie Elton Porter; son, Randall Porter; grandson, Michael Shane Porter.

Pallbearers will be Greg Barbe, Matt Porter, Sam Porter, T.J. Magness, Justin Porter, Jon Porter and Mac Elliott.
