Obituary

Doris Mae Bright Jameson, 80 of Center passed away peacefully at her home and went to be with our Lord on, November 24, 2008.

Doris was born in Shelbyville, Texas on November 23, 1928 to Price Franklin Bright and Vera Mae Forsyth Bright. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in Shelbyville, Texas. After graduation she worked for a brief time at Southwestern Bell in Houston, Texas. Doris and Lawless William Benjamin Jameson of Houston, Texas were married in 1948 and celebrated 51 years of marriage. She was a member of the Campti Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death and was watched over by her "Guardian Angels", parents, Price and Vera Bright, husband, Lawless W. B. "Sonny" Jameson and daughter, Virginia Kay Jameson,

She is survived by her children "The Jewels" of her life, son, Steve William Jameson and wife, Jo Ann of Center and daughters, Judy Ann Gerst and husband, Thomas Edward of Katy, Texas; Serita Evelyn Kennedy and husband, William Randall of La Porte, Texas. "Her Heart Strings", her sister, Evelyn Price Hughes and brother-in-law, Travis Lamar Hughes.

"The Light of her Eyes" her grandchildren; Ronald Dale Winton of Baytown, TX., Christopher Allen Winton and wife, Amy Michelle of Bastrop, TX., Christina Joann Powell and husband, Thomas Alvin of Shreveport, LA., Steve William Jameson II and wife, Deyonna of Mineral Wells, TX., Doris Dee Jameson and fiancé Joe Willess of Center, Ronald Wade Smith and wife, Sydney Theresa of Summerville, SC., Sommer Ann Smith of Pearland, TX.

"Her Most Precious Gifts", her great-grandchildren, Chelsea Nicole and Cody Dale Winton of Baytown, TX., Justin Allen, Price Avery and Haley Michelle Winton of Bastrop, TX., Rachel Christianna, Rebekah Christiann, Rileigh Christine and Thomas V. Powell of Shreveport, LA., Billy Joe (Will) and Sarah Elizabeth Montgomery of Mineral Wells, TX., Steve Ryan and Mathew Brice Jameson of Mineral Wells, TX., John Anthony of Center, TX., Taylor Wade and Jared Reece Smith of Summerville, SC., and Dylan Chance Reed of Pearland, TX.

Nieces; Mary Kathryn Warren, Mavis Elizabeth Carter and husband, Mac and Martha Jane Goodwyn and husband, James of Center.

Pallbearers include Steve Jameson, Ronald Winton, Christopher Winton, Steve Jameson II, Ronald Smith, Thomas Powell and Joe Willess.

And This Too Shall Pass. Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Watson & Sons Funeral Home, 1554 State Hwy 7 East, Center, TX 75935. A celebration of Doris' wonderful life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Bro. Pat Windham will be officiating.
