Donald L. "Don" Burt
, 84, of Center, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches. He was born December 23, 1929 in Alto to James T. Burt and Edna Latham Burt. Mr. Burt served in the United States Army. He retired as a Forman for International Paper Company, where he was employed for thirty-four years. Mr. Burt was a member of First Baptist Church in Center.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Pallbearers will be Mark Burt, Roger Burt, Lee Schlemmer, Matt Boren, Bobby Hairgrove and Brandon Burton. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Haynes and Loyd Lytle.
