Dennis Hollowell , of Shelbyville, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Ringgold, LA to Florence Godfrey Hollowell and Glen "Goggy" Hollowell. He was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, photography, golf, classic cars, reading, and watching westerns. He always had a funny story to tell. He loved playing games and visiting with his family.

Dennis is survived by his devoted wife, Vera Christina Jaramillo Hollowell, children, Neal Hollowell and wife Peggie of Lake Charles, LA, Angie Hollowell Blocksom and husband Kevin of Atlanta, GA, Brady Holowell of Salt Lake City, UT, and Jessica Rachel Hollowell Allgood and husband Damian of Salt Lake City, UT, grandchildren, Nicolette Hollowell Welty and husband David, Steven Blocksom, Travis Hollowell, Cooper Richardson, Mckayla Allgood, Ariana Allgood, Sophia Blocksom, and Ashton Allgood.

The family would like to thank Vicki Hurley while she was on the phone with him, she had the foresight to call the ambulance and Sheriff's Department. The doctors and nurses and staff at the Neuro ICU at LSU Medical Hospital for all that they did on his behalf and for his family a big thank you to Sheriff Deputy Angela Neal, the ambulance team, and helicopter team for all that they did on his behalf.
