David Wayne Smith , 47, of Center, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Nacogdoches.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Smith Cemetery in Shelby County with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born June 15, 1974, David is the son of Clyde Smith and Barbara Jean Baker Smith.  He was a member of Newbern Masonic Lodge #97.

He is survived by his parents, Clyde and Barbara Smith; daughter, Laurel Ann Smith (Melony Anderson); sons, Tristan Wayne Smith (Chris Reyna) and Nickolas Blane Smith (Ivorie Cook); grandson, Danyon Blaine Smith; sisters, Laurie Lee Miller and Diana Lyn Burch; brothers, Michael Mayo (Patsy) and Joe Smith; mother-in-law, Deborah Jones; brother-in-law, Timothy Murphy; special cousins, Larenda Murphy and Dwayne Marr; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; love of his life, 27 years, Tammie Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Tristan Smith, Nickolas Smith, Dwayne Marr, Paul (Bubby) Burress, Toby Murphy, Laurel Smith, and Laurie Miller.  Honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Miller.
