Obituary

David Bussey , 81, of Center, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Center.

Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Patroon Cemetery in Shelby County.  Bro. Kevin Windham will officiate. Visitation will begin at Noon at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born September 2, 1940, in Silsbee, David is the son of Alma May Jarvis and Harold Lamar Bussey. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his niece, Connie Smith Foster; nephews, Kevin Foster and wife Evelyn and Rodney Foster and wife Brenda; great nieces and nephews, Ashley Kunkel, Kenneth Windham Jr. (Sylvia), Dustin and Hollie Windham, Katie and Austin Standridge, Kolton Foster, Lauren and Jarrod Denby, Winston and Sarah Bailey, Amanda Craig (Devin), and Tanner Knight (Hailey); and 18 great great nieces and nephews, including the "apples of his eye", Nacole, Khloe, and Jace.

Preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Harkness Bussey; parents, Alma May Jarvis and Harold Lamar Bussey; sister, Bobbie Foster and Guy; and niece, Sharla Foster.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hardy, Wayne Scott, Joey Haglar, Jody Cooper, Mark Bonner, and Cade Ebernez.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Foster, Rodney Foster, Kolton Foster, Dustin Windham, Kenneth Windham Jr., and Winston Bailey.
