David Bates, 29, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009. He was born January 8, 1980 in Carthage to Robert Milton Bates and Mary Kay Glaze Bates. David loved to hunt, ride his four-wheeler, and spend time with his family and friends. He was a loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, March 6th at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 7th at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery in Joaquin.

Pallbearers will be Toby Broadus, David Cheatwood, Stevie Holloway, Gary Shahan, Richard Sharp, Zach Cheatwood, Jaime Carroll and Stoney Foshee.
