Daphine Slatter Whitlock, 79, of Center, passed away March 20, 2012 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches. She was born June 16, 1932 in Neuville to James Thomas Slatter and Loucile Stricken Slatter. Mrs. Whitlock was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Newbern Chapter #1135, where she served as a Past Worthy Matron. She was of the Methodist faith.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 23, 2012 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Basel Slatter officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Center.

Pallbearers will be Basel Slatter, James Welch Jr., A.V. Slatter, Jr., Rondall Slatter, Lewis Kim Welch and Marty Montoya. Honorary pallbearers will be her boys at Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149.
