Danny Porterfield
, 50, of Center, passed away Sunday,
August 4, 2013 in Center.
He was born
September 13, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Mr. Porterfield was a 1980 Graduate of Center High School, a Former Chapter
President of Texas Logging Council and a member of First Pentecostal Church of
Joaquin.
He enjoyed racing, fishing and
spending time with his grandkids.
Visitation will be held from 6:06 p.m. to 8:08 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:02 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2013 at First United Pentecostal Church in Center with Bro. M.H. Shubert and Bro. Bruce Kunkel officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Stanley, Kenneth Hardy, Roy Mixon, Shad Lout, Flint Calloway, Keith Brown, Wayne Griffin and Gary McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Amburn, Brandon Penick, Richard Tomlin and Jeff McDaniel.
