Danny Lamar "Big Daddy" Scarborough , 68, passed away November 19, 2019 in Tyler, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Rusty Hall officiating.  Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

He was born November 22, 1950 in Center, Texas, to Jeff and Ruth Scarborough.  He was a member and Deacon of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for many many years.  He loved the Lord and had a huge impact on the life of many through his teaching of the Bible and how he led by example in his day to day life.  Danny was loved by all and was always known by everyone as "Big Daddy".  Big Daddy was very active in his children and grandchildren's lives and attended as many of their functions as he could fit in whether it be sports to theatre events.  He loved to fish, hunt, play 42, pitch washers and watch westerns.  He will be missed by a multitude of friends and family that loved him, but we all rest easy in knowing he is resting in the arms of Jesus.
