C.W. "Jack" Watson, 84, of Tenaha, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at a Tyler hospital. He was born May 5, 1926 in Tenaha to Jasper Watson and Lizzie Mae Wagstaff Watson.
Jack graduated from Tenaha High School in 1945, where he was voted most athletic, and was a member of the Tenaha School Hall of Fame. He served in the US Army during WWII. Jack worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years, before retiring. He was a past member of the Tenaha School Board, the past president of the Telephone Pioneers, and a member of First Baptist Church in Tenaha.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Tenaha with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Tenaha.
