Colin James
Marshall
May 5, 1988 — Mar 19, 2013
Colin James Marshall
was born in Houston, Texas on May 5, 1988. He was raised in Friendswood, Texas by his mother and father James and Karen. Colin was well known, even through childhood, to be the funny guy in the room. Whenever Colin was around it didn't take long before someone, or everyone, was literally rolling on the floor laughing. He was a friend to those in need when they needed him. Whether it was fixing a computer, lifting a car to change a tire, or just being an ear to listen, Colin's heart was always open, 24/7. Colin had an intuitive knack for knowing just when his family and friends needed him the most. Colin's interests included computers, robotics, astro-physics, aeronautical sciences, flying planes, scuba diving, and video games just to name a few. He was always exploring new activities both to keep him entertained and to challenge his intellect. He was also incredibly passionate about his job and position in the United States Air Force. Colin was recently promoted to Staff Sergeant, and had graduated at the top of his class in Airmen Leadership School, receiving the Academic Achievement Award. He was credited by numerous classmates as being the main advocate for them passing ALS with him. Colin's love of his family and friends was limitless and without judgment. When it comes to men who love without condition, Colin was a shining example. He lived his life by the Marshall Family motto, "Veritas Vincit", which means, "Truth Conquers." He wore his heart on his sleeve, and wasn't afraid to sacrifice himself for those he loved. Colin James Marshall passed away while on active duty with the USAF on March 19, 2013 at the age of 24. He is survived by his mother and father, James William and Karen Jo Marshall, his sister Kelly Elizabeth Marshall, and his brother and sister-in-law Sean William and Michelle Lynn Marshall, many aunts and uncles, dozens of cousins, and hundreds of friends around the nation.
