Clovis E. Furlow
, 84, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 25, 1928 in Huxley to Emmitt Furlow and Violet Lavelle Dean Furlow. Mr. Furlow served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Lydia Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Luke Garrett and Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Wimberly Cemetery in Huxley.
Pallbearers will be Richard Furlow, Trey Searcy, Timothy Marshall, Andrew Marshall, Daniel Mandigo and Jack Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Robinson, Larry Scarborough, Dave Jackson, Jake (Shorty) Furlow, L.C. Furlow, Dan Phillips, Jimmy Sledge and Gerald Wilburn. Alternate pallbearers will be Keith O'Rear and Larry O'Rear.
