Christine Ward , 98, of Center, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Center.

A private graveside service was held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana.

Ms. Ward was born October 4, 1916 in Logansport, Louisiana to Robert Taylor and Nettie Langford Taylor. She grew up in Logansport, Louisiana and later moved to Houston, Texas, where she was employed at Foley's Department Store. She soon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and later returned home to Logansport, Louisiana to serve as a caregiver to her father. Ms. Ward most recently resided in Center, Texas. She loved the Lord and was a member of First Assembly of God in Center. Her hobbies included sewing and flower gardening.

She is survived by

Daughter: Myrna Lloyd of Colorado Springs, Colorado
