Charlotte Hughes , 76, of Center, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Her wishes were to be cremated.

Born July 23, 1947, in Center, Charlotte is the daughter of Julius Elzie Windham and Margaret Corinne Meyers Windham.  She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Kettler of Center; grandchildren, Jessica Hughes and Alex of San Antonio, Rebecca Hughes and Travis Robin of Center, and Amanda Hughes and Jesus Garcia of Nacogdoches; great grandchildren, Julia Garcia of Nacogdoches; brother, Roger Dale Windham of Center; special uncle, Preston Windham of Center; numerous other relatives; and special friends, Sue Williford, Zannie Mae Hughes, and Dalene Bivens.

Preceded in death by parents, Julius Elzie Windham and Margaret Corinne Meyers Windham; son, Jarel Wayne "Bubba" Hughes; grandson, Jody Kettler; sisters, Louise Windham, Jerlyn Richards, Delores Windham, and Donna Whittington; brother, Randy Windham.
