Charles W. Smith , 62, of Center, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in Nacogdoches.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at Noon.  Bro. Eric Garrett and Bro. Andy Wilson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Born November 18, 1958, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Charles is the son of Melvin Smith and Janie L. Morrell Smith.  He loved classic cars and traveling.  Charles was a member of Center First United Pentecostal Church in Center.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Evans Smith of Center; children, Blake Smith of Lewisville and Brianna Evans of Center; mother, Janie M. Ward of Center; sisters, Mary Smith and husband Dwain of Beckville, Melba Rasmussen and husband Chris of Longstreet, Louisiana, and Elizabeth Rowe and husband Bryan of Tenaha; brothers, Robert Smith and wife Eva of Shiloh, Louisiana and Tommy Smith and wife Pam of Anacoco, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Cheree Borders Smith; father, Melvin Smith; and brothers, James Smith and Chester Smith.

Pallbearers will be George Booker, Jacob Smith, Patrick Smith, Joshua Smith, Ricky Smith, Melvin Booker, Richard Farrington, and Charles Smith.
