Charles Raymond Hickman , 92, of Zavalla, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in Zavalla.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2024, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Lone Cedar Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Wes Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Cedar Cemetery in Joaquin.
Born June 18, 1932, in Shelby County, Charles is the son of John Terry Hickman and Dena Mae Ramsey Hickman. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching the Astros, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Keith Hickman and wife Tammy of Huntington and Terry Hickman and wife Jill of Kingwood; grandchildren, Dan Hickman and wife Kim of Huntington, Ben Hickman and wife Vita of Deer Park, and Cara Hickman Woolet and husband Keyl of Kingwood; great grandchildren, Colton Hickman and wife Torri, Kylee Hickman, Kaya Hickman, Leo Hickman, Archie Woolet, and Hayes Woolet; great great grandchildren, Dylan Zoe, and Hayden Hickman; brother, Eldridge Hickman of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Doris Gordon Pierce and husband Leon of Pasadena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marie Gordon Hickman; and parents, John Terry Hickman and Dena Mae Ramsey Hickman.
Pallbearers will be Dan Hickman, Leo Hickman, Ben Hickman, David Pierce, Colton Hickman, and Keyl Woolet.
