"Buddy" Tom Martin Jr. , 64, of Joaquin, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, in Louisiana.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at North Jericho Cemetery in Shelby County.  Bro. Joe Walker will officiate.

Born August 3, 1959, in Center, Buddy is the son of John Thomas Martin and Claudia Mae Cogswell Martin. He loved fishing, hunting, and growing a big garden. He was larger than life.  Buddy was a member of Logansport Missionary Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana.

He is survived by his sisters, Laverne Martin Sanders of Mt. Enterprise, Billie Davis of Colorado, and Eva Dewitt of Carthage; brothers, C.D. Belrose of Dayton and Red Belrose of Lufkin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Martin and Claudia Mae Cogswell Martin; brothers, Bill Belrose, Roy Belrose, Truman Belrose, and Austin Belrose; and sister, June Dobos.
