He is survived by his children, Amanda McSwain, Tammy Sims, Darrell Sims, Doug Sims, and Michael Sims; grandchildren, Jeffrey Snider, Caden McMillan, Triston McMillan, Caleb McSwain, Jasper McSwain, Sammie Sims, Andrew Sims, Ashley Sims, Anita Sims, Gage Sims, Kiylee Sims, Cruise Sims, Vega Sims, Beala Redmon, Bre Sims, and Crush Sims; brother, James Sims and wife Jennie; sisters, Jackie Cox and family, Tonny Sims, Terrie Sims, and Lisa Sims Debord.
Preceded in death by father, James Sims; mother, ODell Renfrow Sims; grandmother Addiel A Renfrow; and aunt, Jeiell Renfrow.
