Obituary

Billie Jean Taylor King , 77, of San Augustine, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015, in San Augustine.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in San Augustine.

Ms. King was born October 16, 1938, in San Augustine, to Bill and Verna Taylor. She graduated Pineland High School in 1956 and married high school sweetheart, James "Spud" King, in 1958. After residing in Austin for 45 years, she relocated to Center in 2010. Ms. King was currently a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. She retired from Teacher Retirement System in Austin, after 31 years of state service, and following retirement, she enjoyed travelling.
