Bettye Cox, 72, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010. She was born August 21, 1937 in Joaquin to Wilburn Hancock and Julia Huff Hancock. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lafayette.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Hiram Thomas Melton officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
