Beth Hopkins Spurlock, 81, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Shelby Regional Medical Center. She was born January 22, 1929 in the Aiken Community of Shelby County to James Clyde Hopkins and Neva Bridges Hopkins. Ms. Spurlock was a member of the XYX Club of Shelby County and the Joaquin VFD Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Joaquin.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 12, 2010 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Elmer Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Shelby County.
