Bennie Hooper, 79, of Center, passed Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Green Acres Nursing Center. He was born October 24, 1930 in Panola County, Texas to Burton Hooper and Pearl Smart Hooper. Mr. Hooper was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, September 27, 2010 and 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Wheeler and Rev. Kerry Green officiating. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Hooper's grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Ephesus Baptist Church.
