Barnie Edison, 78, of Nacogdoches, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 in a local hospital. She was born October 15, 1931 in Center to Thomas J. "Tom" Mahan and Sarah Ellen "Sallie" Childs Mahan. Mrs. Edison was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of West Austin Church of Christ in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 16, 2009 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Justin McCorkle and Lanny Parish officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Center.

Pallbearers will be Steve Edison, Jeremy Skaggs, Kerry Franks, Paul Bailey, Don Bodenhamer and Randy Fausett. Honorary pallbearer will be Jordan Skaggs.
