Barbara Ann
Perry
Jan 30, 1948 — Dec 22, 2024
Barbara Ann Perry was born on January 30, 1948, in Dyess, Arkansas, the second of five children of William Albert and Margie Lee McGuire. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Bro. Harold Dement will officiate.
She grew up in Manila, Arkansas, and would tell stories about chopping cotton in the fields with her family as a girl and teenager. She was saved as a young lady in Carrol's Corner Church in Etowah, Arkansas. She met and later married her husband of fifty-eight years in Blytheville, Arkansas. She left her home and family at the young age of eighteen to move and reside in Center, Texas. She had a lighthearted, beautiful soul and she loved to laugh. Everyone who knew her knew what a strong Christian she was. If you went to visit her, you would most times find her reading the Bible. She took great comfort in Scripture and reading God's Word. Her pride and joy were her two daughters and her grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her. Her absence will be felt by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Perry of Center; daughters, Teresa Britt and husband Bruce of Center and Dana Lawrence and husband David of Center; grandchildren, Brayden Britt of Center, Trista Britt of Center, Avery Lawrence of Center, and Reid Peace of Longview; brothers, John McGuire and wife Carla and Michael McGuire and wife Sue; sister, Jo Karen Ball; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janice Askew and husband Leon and Sue Dumatrait and husband Billy.
Preceded in death by parents, William Albert and Margie Lee McGuire; and sister, Jan Oliver.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Britt, David Lawrence, Brayden Britt, and Reid Peace.
