Obituary

B.B. (Bittie) Askew , 98, of Vidor, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Port Arthur. He was born January 13, 1915 in Center to Buford B. Askew Sr. and Lola Hagler Askew. Mr. Askew served in the Civil Service at Pearl Harbor during WWII. He later retired from Texaco in Port Arthur. Mr. Askew was of the Church of Christ faith.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating.

The family of Mr. Agnew thanks everyone at Cypress Glenn Nursing Home for caring for our Dad for the last two years. Also a special thanks to Kelly and the staff of New Century Hospice.
