Avis Lambert Lout, 92, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at a Center nursing home. She was born March 6, 1918 in Shelby County, Texas to John Norris Scruggs and Annis Mae Lee Scruggs. Ms. Lout was a member of Logansport Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, January 7, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Scruggs and Bro. Sam Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.
