Alex E. Cravey , 91, of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2014 in his home in Ranch San Diego, California. He was born September 8, 1922 in West Hamilton, Shelby County, Texas to Nathan Alexander and Alice Jean Blum Cravey. Mr Cravey served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of Disabled America Veterans. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Mae Getz Cravey, his daughter Elaine Cravey and a number of brothers and sisters. Alex lived most of his life in New Mexico and California.

Alex loved his children, Clark Cravey, of 29 Palms, California, his three daughters Lisa Cravey, Diana Cravey and Elaine Cravey all of San Diego. He is also survived by his sister Lawanda Bell of Rancho Cucamonga, California as well as his loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private interment will be held at West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelbyville, Texas and a memorial service will be planned at a later time.
