Adele Jackson Anthony, 94, of Center, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 in San Augustine, Texas. She was born October 26, 1914 in Joaquin, Texas to Thomas Lee Jackson and Clara Oma Jeans Jackson. Mrs. Anthony was a homemaker. She was also a member of Campti Methodist Church in the Campti community of Shelby County, Texas. Mrs. Anthony is survived by her sister: Lucille Hughes of Center; sister-in-law: Mattie Jackson of Center; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Allen Anthony; three brothers; James E. Jackson, Robert Lee Jackson, Edward "Slick" Jackson and a sister; Frances Jones.
